WELCOME TO
THE STUDIO AT BURNS GARDENS
The Studio at Burns Gardens is located on a woodsy hilltop overlooking the Hood Canal.  It is here that I find the inspiration to create.  I work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pencil, clay and stone.

My work is symbolic, often metaphorical, and always created to bring a smile and perhaps an occcasional deep thought.

Suzanne L. Burns received her art degree from the University of Washington.  She works in pencil, ink, oils, acrylics, watercolors, clay and stone.  She is a member of the Verksted Gallery in the charming seaside town of Poulsbo, Washington, a member of the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association, and her work is carried at the Earth Artisans Gallery in Tenino, Washington.

A note from the artist:  I have spent the last decade trying to find enough time to “be” an artist.  What I have learned is that “being” and “doing” are different, and that LIFE is our art.

I am forever bothered by rambling, disconnected,  deep little thoughts forming puddles in my brain.  Rather than talk about these wannabe pools of wisdom, I humbly offer this vignette of images for you to swish around in your own brain and hopefully enjoy!

The images on the following pages are a compilation of work that has been splashing in my brain puddles for awhile now.
