For the BIRDS . . . (and Bird Lovers . . . )
THE CALENDAR GIRLS COLLECTION
of giclee prints
Many of my images are birds. I don’t know why these silly creatures keep flying into the studio but they do. I expect they are quite important - most likely symbolic or metaphorical . . . what can I say . . . they show up with personalities of their own, tell me their names, offer some wise saying for me to contemplate, and when winter beckons, they go find a snowman to land on. Twelve of the birds have become a collection I call the Calendar Girl's HALL OF FAME!
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those
who could not hear the music.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
and never stops at all.

There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: one is roots. The other is wings.
